Wonder what Tepper is up to these days. I'm willing to bet he could get more out of this unit than what we're getting now...
I've heard the Clemson rumblings about Muschamp. Muschamp will get a HC job soon, especially if UT goes BCSCG. UT is very young also but they have contained Mizzou and OU and OSU. Impressive for a young secondary. Another person who has done wonders with a young secondary is...guess who Saban. So it is the coaching, not the players that is the issue. The growing pain and young player excuses are just that....excuses. Muschamp won't be moving again except for a HC job and UT is loving him right now and I miss him too. Even though many of us thought he was a figurehead for Saban, which I think he was but I believe he did do much of the play calling. I really don't know who is out there right now. Miles won't make any drastic move mid season but I'm sure he is putting his feelers out there now. He better be. I was thinking the co-DC's were the secondary and DL position coaches, I forgot that Pevito was the ST's coach. That had totally slipped my mind.
What we're seeing from the defense this year is startlingly similar to what we saw from special teams last year...players well out of position and with no idea what is going on... Draw your own conclusions, but there is a common thread.
Believe me I was not for a second suggesting that he be allowed any where near the special teams. I was just making sure the poster knew that he no longer coached them. Peveto has under achieved everywhere Miles has put him except as a recruiter.
