What else can you expect from the Yanks? They hate, us... F**k the computers.... we deserve the no. 3 spot. Ohio State has more SOS, yes, but they struggle tremendously and in the end their defense gets in done for them EVERY time. I am rooting for the Wolverines all the way when they play OSU next week.
The point some of you are missing in hoping that Tennessee passes Georgia in the BCS is that the SEC East's correlation to the BCS polls only happens in the case of a 3-way tie. If LSU, UT, and UGa win out, we'll see UGa again in the SECCG. This being the case, we want UGa to be ranked higher than 6th at the time of the SECCG, since the last time we beat them they were at 6th and are currently at 6th, and when we beat them again, we don't want them to fall completely out of the top 10, so, the higher they're ranked, the better for us....and I don't see UGa losing any of their last games until the SECCG.
I see a small chance that Florida may even pass Tennessee in the BCS poll if Florida can beat Florida State. Tennessee SOS goes way down after Vanderbilt and Kentucky. If Florida gets to within 5 spots of Georgia AND passes Tennessee, Florida goes to the SEC CG.
Some of you guys need to relax and take your medication ... lol It's very simple ... if OSU beats Michigan, they are in New Orleans. Personally, I don't see them winning Saturday. We closed the gap on USC by 2.4 points ... we're only 4.5 behind. Beating Ole Miss and Arkansas will do wonders for our SOS and will make a big move in the computer polls. Is it enough to catch USC? I dunno...
Assuming OSU loses to Michigan and LSU wins out... how do we "catch" USC? Most likely way - USC loses to either UCLA or Oregon State Less likely way - USC barely squeaks by both teams, while LSU dominates Ole Miss, Arkansas, and the SEC East team in the SECCG. We leapfrog them in both the AP and ESPN polls, and that plus our improved SOS puts us in #2 in the BCS. (No idea if the math for this is even possible, but it is probably close).
I agree. We gained a few points on USC in the human polls this week. Soundly beat Ole Miss and Arkansas on national TV while USC struggles, and anything is possible. Add a big SECCG victory on national TV and who knows? But, all this is a moot point if we don't win out ... and OSU must lose to Michigan!!
