Good, maybe now we can get rid of that stupid "press 1 for English" option. No problems with the law here. Be legal or be gone. Adios Amigo.

We could always put these on the ID cards. I'm sure most of you have seen them on bank or credit card statements. It is what I do now that I'm retired from kicking the sh!t out of achmed.

Yes. Freedom is a terrible thing. Thank God the government of Arizona is doing everything possible to destroy it.

so will passengers have to carry id? will it be a crime to not have whatever id this will be? will minors have to carry id too?

i have no idea what suspicion of being illegal alien is. if you speak a foreign language in thier presence? does it have to be spanish? are the cops going to ask you who the VP is and if you get it wrong you go to jail? (i had better review civics with my wife)

Yeah. Suppose my friends Yi Fu Lee and Sky Choi are riging in my car with me and I am speeding. Sky is S. Korean and here on a school visa. Yi Fu was born here, is a citizen, works for a major international accounting firm, and has never been to his parents' native Hong Kong. Neither one of these guys speak very good English. It is really hard to talk to them about anything other than wrestling. Sky thinks every white dude is Bradd Pitt and every black dude is Booker T. He calls me Brad and and says we are like twins.

What would happen if I were pulled over and Yi Fu didn't have his license and Sky didn't have his id. Would they go to jail for seeming all foreign? Would I go to jail for having potential illegals in my car? Is it ok cause these dudes are yellow and not brown?

Well, that's just a way of doing the same thing. But licensing should really be a separate issue from ID. Some people don't drive, children don't drive, criminals can have their driving priveleges denied, but they still have legal identities. It's too easy for aliens to get a genuine drivers license to make it an official ID.

We already have National ID cards and they are called US Passport Cards, but they are not mandatory and do not have all of the security features that could be implemented if they were so.

We don't have to justify asking foreign nationals for their identification, they are federal criminals by definition and have no rights. American citizens have the right not to be unreasonably searched and seized, but no such right exists for identifying ones self. There are Border Patrol checkpoints on Interstate and US Highways in the southwest and US citizens cannot refuse to go through them or show ID if asked. They are not profiling anybody. They legally stop and inspect everybody and they ask for ID for anybody they find suspicious. They arrest those that are found to be illegal.

This law just allows regular police doing their legal duties to determine if a suspect is an illegal alien and do the same thing.

Wrong. This is a nation of freedom. Speak whatever cotten picking language you want. My friend Yi Fu is every bit as American as you or I. He speaks his utensilese while doing his job and paying his taxes. I got no problem with it, and anyone who does is some kind of totalitarian freedom hater.
