It was a response which response is that the video does not prove that Obama read the speech. Pointing out that Obama is a dumbass was a bonus.

Fine. The point is that we can't let undue fear of potential abuse stop us from making laws that do the job the are designed to do. All laws have the potential for abuse by police and it is other laws that are designed to control this. You still haven't answered this: What makes this law so special among all other laws, which have potential for abuse, that it cannot be considered. What evidence do you offer that it encourages officers to misbehave, as you stated?

I'm a reasonable person and I don't agree. I don't hate Mexicans and you can't find a single post where I say that I have. I certainly don't hate Hispanic Americans, they are Americans. I love Mexico, I visit there, and I love the Mexican culture. This has nothing to do with hatred, despite your constant attempts to make that accusation. It's simply about legal national status. I like my American culture too, Don't you?

I think Mexican Nationals need to follow the immigration laws if they want to come here. Why don't you? I think if they illegally come here anyway they should be identified, arrested, and deported and this is what our law says and the Mexicans know it. Why do you oppose the laws of our country?

Why should illegal Mexicans get to evade justice because they may be similar in appearance to some Americans?

SO What? How is this a problem?

The law is explicit. What you advocate simply isn't the way laws are written. The law must be succinct.

You are assuming this. Are you aware that all officers undergo such training in Police Academy and in subsequent training sessions ? Do you imagine that Arizona police officers have not undergone thorough profiling training and don't keep the obvious records that all cops keep? I doubt that there is a more profile-aware police force inthe country than those on the border. This is not a new issue and it applies to all laws not just this one.

[You have not demonstrated this, you have suggested this. I think you overstate the severity of the problem and I think you understate the severity of the illegal alien problem.

This is untrue. Arizona police are well-trained and profile training is standard.

That's the legal position of the United States of America.

You are wrong, I've said no such thing, and once agains are trying to restate my case in your terms. Why do you do this? You know I'm going to shoot it down?

Your snarky way of once again suggesting that I'm unreasonable and hate Mexicans with no evidence whatsoever.

You know, I think I could never make a case to those self-roghtous, blind idealists who hate the police and also Americans with pragmatic ideas that place the good of the nation over the hurt feelings of foreign lawbreakers. You know, those guys.

Racial profiling is illegal, other kinds profiling are not and is standard police procedure.

I did the research. What evidence do you offer that I didn't?

Exactly what the law says. Whatever is your point?

Do you loathe and hate the police? That's what this is all about, ain't it?

I don't think that. Why do you suggest that I do. This dishonest tactic is lame.

The guy is wearing a T-shirt that says University de Mexico, is covered in the distinctive mud of the Rio Grande, is carrying a bottle of Mandarin Jarritos soda sold only in Mexico, and he tells the officer that he tore his shirt on a cactus not the barbed wire fence at the border. :rolleye33:

It amazes me just to what length some will go to in defense of illegal aliens at the expense of American Citizens.
People want to give them rights and totally ignore the rights of American citizens who lose their jobs, makes less money, lose their lives at the hand of illegals, etc.
How many people here that are against the immigration law will volunteer to move to a border town and put their life in danger. Please speak up!

Assuming Obama, Dems and some Republicans are against this Arizona law so maybe they should change the federal law regarding immigration in this country instead of ignoring it or using the race card.
I am on the side of Arizona law and the authorities this time around but I will point out Obama is against law enforcement once again just like he was when that Ivy league professor was questioned at his home!
