Some people (here and on tv) have suggested we should have open borders and allow anyone to come here regardless of the impact on our current infrastructure.

I'm curious if people who share this idea lock their doors at night or while away. If so...why? Shouldn't someone be able to waltz into their home and do whatever they want?

I'm curious to know what these people who have no problem with illegal immigration would say if these same illegal immigrants walked into their home and raided their refrigerator. What if they slept in their bed or took a bath in their tub? What if an illegal alien decided to drive their car?

Some people have no problem with people violating our national laws but would they feel the same way if someone violated their residence? If so...why? What's the difference?

Why can every nation in this world protect their national sovereignty except us? The race card BS is used far too often these days. I'm guessing about 99% of the time it's just used by some irresponsible individual or group.

dont worry about it, we know how you feel, racism doesnt exist, just among minorities, blah, blah.

the make up of the police force doesnt even matter, that has nothing to do with nothing, they didnt create the law. Even a sheriff in Arizona said he wasnt enforcing it because it was impossible to enforce it without racial profiling and he is white.

Big bad white guy has nothing to do with this either, that doesnt matter to me, I call it like I see it. You just dont want to admit your real feelings and thats fine, i know how much of a coward you are, you should finally realize it yourself. I respect a guy like Martin much more than you, who has the balls to admit that he is a racist, instead of pretending like it doesnt exist within yourself, but just among minorities.
And everytime you say someone is playing the race card, you might want to look at yourself first, so buy a mirror.

Like I said, it doesnt matter to those it doesnt adversely effect.
Matter of fact, you dont even have to comment on my post, just ignore me and i'll ignore your bullshyt.

M/m...you're just a puppet and will continue to respond and vote like you've always been told to. You won't deviate from that regardless of what you say. Your vote is in someone's back pocket no matter what happens. Guaranteed! That's the sad part of the situation but you'll never see it. Maybe you should look in the mirror. Until then just keep pushing the party line. :dis:

You are a very intelligent man. It's too bad you allow others to tell you how to think.

Many people have made racist remarks about this law without having the slightest clue about the situation. There's very typical of people who pull the race card. (uneducated, uninformed, irresponsible)

I'm not sure if you saw the kid who ran out on the baseball field and was struck by a Taser. It has created some news as liberals don't like it but honestly tell me what the outcry would be had the kid been black. I think you know the answer. How are we EVER going to get past color when the race card is pulled daily?

Amigo . . . we did steal northern Mexico.

Well, its time they get over it and move on. But they rightfully see it as an unprovoked invasion and land grab, the treaty was signed under an American army occupying Mexico City, and there was not and can not be any proper compensation.

Close, but their problem is more systemic than that, its demographic, I think. The English colonies were filled with large numbers of English settlers bringing European education, commerce, and ambitions to build a new land for themselves right here. They did not bring their lordly class with them. They largely displaced the Indians and filled the continent with modern middle-class Europeans who excelled and became wealthy.

The Spanish colonies were more on a model of small numbers of lordly Europeans becoming a ruling class over the largely Indian population and exploiting the land for wealth to send back to Europe rather than settling Spaniards. It left Mexico without a large, educated, and prosperous middle class to drive the kind of economic and cultural advances seen in the North. That disparity finally brought revolution to Mexico and they left the European ruling class behind, but they lost a couple of centuries, still have no large middle class, and will never catch up.

your mistake is that you think you know so much about me and thats part of your problem. You dont know much at all, but you like to pretend like you do, which is fine. It doesnt impact my life. You dont know who I voted for in any given situation, but the presidential election.

no one tells me how to think, i believe thats pretty obvious, well it is to me. Until you admit what you really are, then its no need for us to discuss anything, I can be honest with myself about my views, but you want to pretend that you want a honest dialogue and debate, when its simply not true. You take denial to a level unseen before and thats sad to me. Its not about a party line to me, because you just dismiss the fact that many republicans have come out against this law. This isn't about democrat vs republican, its just a bad law and allows profiling whether you believe it or not, thats just what i believe. The answer here is to secure the border at all cost and truly reform the immigration policy, instead of this horrible law, which is unconstitutional. Something this country was built on, but i guess it was fine when it was mostly Europeans immigrating?

What does that kid that got tased have to do with this. I dont know anything about that, but it doesnt matter what his color is to me, if he did something wrong then he deserved it, thats with anyone, i believe in justice, one of the reasons im going to law school.

Your whole life is wrapped up in who is conservative and who's liberal, thats a piss poor way to live and I wont be apart of that. Did you know I voted for Charlie Crist and probably will vote for him as an independent. I just really dont like Kendrick Meeks or Marco Rubio (the alleged true conservative, who is against the Arizona law as it is written, for the same reasons I am against it)

Hey here you go, the kid was white and they are still making a stink about it, so your theory is wrong once again.

Why are you against it, no one knew the intentions of that kid, he could have been out to hurt someone on the field. I think the cops acted appropriately, no matter what his color was.

I prefer the spectacle of fat cops running down and tackling kids acting out instead of just pulling the taser and darting him.

But rule #1 of being a sports hooligan is that you risk having angry cops beat the snot out of you with billy clubs when you run onto that field. Rule #2 is that being tazed is preferable to being subdued with a billy-club takedown by four 250-pound cops.

i think its too strong a response, but not that big a deal. the guy could also have had a vial of a nasty virus in his pocket ready to be released too, maybe they should have just put a bullet in his head.
