Two Mexicans are stuck in the desert after crossing into the United States , wandering aimlessly and starving. They are about to just lie down and wait for death, when all of a sudden Luis says......... "Hey Pepe, do you smell what I smell. Ees bacon, I theenk." "Si, Luis, eet sure smells like bacon. " With renewed hope they struggle up the next sand dune, & there, in the distance, is a tree loaded with bacon. There's raw bacon, there's fried bacon, back bacon, double smoked bacon ... every imaginable kind of cured pork. "Pepe, Pepe, we ees saved. Ees a bacon tree." "Luis, maybe ees a meerage? We ees in the desert don't forget." "Pepe, since when deed you ever hear of a meerage that smell like bacon...ees no m eerage, ees a bacon tree." And with that, Luis staggers towards the tree. He gets to within 5 metres, Pepe crawling close behind, when suddenly a machine gun opens up, and Luis drops like a wet sock. Mortally wounded, he warns Pepe with his dying breath, "Pepe... go back man, you was right, ees not a bacon tree!" "Luis, Luis mi amigo... what ees it? " "Pepe.. ees not a bacon tree. Ees Ees Ees Ees Ees a ham bush...."
It hasn't been used yet, so its a bit premature to citicise its use, don't you think? They can do that first, it doesn't matter, but it needs to be addressed from both supply and demand sides.
the pragmatic man knows what he is doing before he rushes off and tries it. an extremist enacts policy and then examines at after the damage is done. the issue is justice, not tit for tat.
The pragmatic and resourceful man recognizes a failed effort and finds new methods to reach the goal. Nonsense. Tit-for-tat connotes retaliation which I did not suggest. When I contrast Mexican policy to US policy on the same issue, I'm making a relevant comparison. Justice wears a blindfold, but she also carries a scale. Balance between Mexican and US immigration enforcement seems prudent and just to me.
weird! you turned the pragmatic thing around and made it favor your side of the argument. it is almost as if it is a meaningless thing that can always be said by anyone about anything, and should always be abandoned in favor of actual points about real principles. oh my mistake, it was a "relevant comparison". seriously though, i dont understand this issue with the new law, what it means, how it is a change. alls i know is that i think we are a bit racist as a nation, which is ok morally, but wrong in terms of actually what is good for the nation. we need a younger workforce, we need the infusion of immigrants from everywhere. we should not be deporting anyone, we should be importing folks.
I'm good. You should throw money. I have no problem at all with immigrants as long as they follow the rules. I have no sympathy for foreign nationals who break our rules.
this is like me opposing you because you enjoy smoking weed, because it is "against the rules". i dont give a damn about the rules, i care what the proper decision is. we need immigrants, so we should simply make it legal for almost anyone who wants to come here. except ragheads i hate them.
