No, what is shameful, is algore concedeing the race, then retracting his concession. The only shameful political intervention was invited in by algore. Good thing too, because he has obviously become INSANE!! As for his brothers state, are you kidding me, are you mental, go ahead and put me on ignore, because you ARE a "DOLT". This is not up to your usual standards RED, your post are generally well thought out, and not reactionary in nature like mine, but if you truly think Jeb influenced that election in any way, well I'll just have to start thinking of you as "CRAWREXREDFISH" you wouldn't want that, now would you? There is no popular vote, to the extent that it means just as much as the fact that there were 92000 people in Tiger Stadium. The players(electorial college) won the game, not the fans in the stands. :thumb:
This is an invalid statement (and you should know this) since neither of these countries are tasked with being the protector of the free world, curing Aids in Africa; not to mention all the other foreign aid we provide. But maybe I'm giving you too much credit thinking you should understand. I'd love for the good ole USA to tell the world to kiss our asses. It sure as hell would get rid of the deficit in a hurry.
Sweden and the Netherlands also have virtually no morality, where any sexual vice is encouraged and narcotics are legal. Please do not compare this great country to those two dens of iniquity. I do not care if they have virtually no poverty. Poverty exists in this country because liberal socialists like you encourage citizens to ride the backs of the taxpayers and not go out and try to find a job. Just because we have an X% poverty rate does not make me feel sorry for those X% of people. 95% of them could better themselves if they so chose. Sadly it is easier to sit back and hug the laurels of those who actually work for a living. Why work when you can go get on welfare? Why work when you could go have 5 children, live in government-subsidized housing, get $3500 a month from the government, and ride around in a Lexus? That is a true story of someone I know in the Banbury Crossing subsidized apartment complex on Tiger Bend Road.
I studied American History, I realize the vision of our founding fathers and the core of the Constitution, something you and most of your liberal side kicks seem to have either not read, or simply dont understand. I would be happy to suggest some readings for you. Education is power, and obviously you are a bit lost...At least in what the foundation of our Nation is. Thats O.K. there is hope for you. Start with the Constitution, study it on your own, dont ask Dan Rather to explain it for you. Once thats done, get back to us, we will take baby steps... Well at least we know the truth, you want a socialist society... That pretty much explains everything. Well you are voting for you man, you want a Socialist, Kerry is your boy... I chose to live by the words of one of the finest Americans of modern time. "Keep the people free and the government poor" Ronald Reagan....
Be careful, that kind of talk will get you branded as a racist around here by people who are unable to make an argument against such reasonable thinking.
My theory on the left... When the facts don't support your theories, label your opponents. By calling them "racist", "sexist", "homophobic", etc, you put the impetus on them to defend their reputation and that saves you from having to back up your suppositions with proof. Why debate honorably when you can slander without accountability People like Al Franken, most Democrats, Mr. Moore fit this to a T. Saw a great bumper sticker today.. Vote Democrat its easier then working...
Oh, I understand why you don't like someone bringing up 2000. But people have not forgotten. Just making a prediction, . . . if it's close there will be more political shenanigans. Maybe more of the same, maybe some payback from the left. This ain't our grandfather's kind of election. There are three categories of employee at LSU. An IT tech would be one of the civil service Staff, the largest category. A professor would be one of the Faculty. I'm actually one of the third category - Professional/Administrative. I direct a small research unit. I may be considered a liberal on FSA, but around LSU I am seen as a conservative. I am actually neither, being a moderate, but I know you can't see this. One of the problems with an extreme position is poor perspective.
