I don't know. Looks like rumor is suggesting that he has interest. Let's face it, if you're a good RB and you're going to play in the South/Southeast, you'd at the very least have interest in the top program........isn't that LSU?

Still, it's just a rumor and very few internet message board rumors turn out to be true.

If you are leaving to get playing time, then you don't go to a school that has four guys ahead of you. You go to a school that needs a running back.

I agree. Notice I didn't suggest that he should or would transfer to LSU, only that it would make sense that he have/show interest. If you believe you're the best, then the best should be considered.

Besides, Moody showing LSU some interest certainly doesn't mean the interest is mutual.

He wouldn't be leaving one of the best if he thought he was the best. I think he suspects that there is a tier above him.

Not actually the case here........it's been reported that there was some "Favoritism" shown to Cali boys on the roster and his uncle went as far as to say that, last year, members on the practice squad got more looks. Which is where, IMO, a lot of this is stemming from, his uncle.

This is coming from his uncle:
So in line with your post, it sounded like he could have been addressing you directly. :hihi:

I'm just wondering why, since he's already on the west coast, he didn't decide to stay in the PAC-10 (ok, I already know that answer: "because there's no competition." :D ), but what better way to "stick it to" your former school than to remain in the conference and play against them???

Seems to me that Oregon and Cal would be 2 schools that appear to be able to give USC a run for their money.

And do you think Petey would give his permission for that? I'm not sure how it works in other conferences.

For starters, he's from Texas so I'm not sure staying out here was a big consideration.

Jay is right. PC would not have signed off on transfer papers unless he knew that other Pac10 schools were out of consideration.

tiga is right. Moody's uncle is pivotal in all aspects of this kid's career. I'm not suggesting it's a bad thing, just that it's a thing. Notice that NO comments have come from Moody, only from his uncle. Michael Chang wants Emmanuel back home for now and then to play in the South I believe.

While Moody has experienced some disappointment and injury, he is not leaving with a desire to "stick it" to USC or to his coaches, especially RB coach Todd McNair. He is extremely close with the other RB's and they all see him leave on good terms. It's a frustrating situation for all involved but there are no hard feelings. I'd like nothing more than to see his highlight reel beginning next season wherever that happens to be.

This is what happens when you have so much talent at one position.

There is only one football to go around and i am sure all those 5 stars were told they would start and they were the next Heisman.

Then they find out that the coach's told all the five stars that and they realize maybe the coaches fed em a line.

It happens everywhere but at USC right now it is glaring because they have duped about 10 of them into believing they are the greatest rb since OJ Simpson.

I think it is a mistake to have that many disgruntleds because it may lead to dissention on the team.

    Other Calco Predictions

I think OJ and Barry Bonds will get together and start a sports drink. They will call it " The Juice ".

I predict that 32 players on the USC team this year will win the Heisman. Thats 10 less that Pete Carroll promised anyway!!!!

ESPN will make sure that USC gets voted #1 even after they lose their 4th game this year. Because it would make them look bad if USC isnt in the Championship game.

Pamela Sue Anderson will have new breast implants inserted.

Tom Cruise will get divorced and marry Angelina Jolie.

Bob Barker will come out of retirement and host Jeopardy

    And

I will win the 75 million Mega Millions on just a one dollar ticket.

I am just curious as to how you come up with these conclusions?

In the 6+ years that Pete Carroll has coached USC, not one player that has transfered or not, has said they were lied to, mislead or sold a bill of goods during their recruitment.

Is doing this a way for you try to feel better about yourself?

    If not, what is it?
