oklahoma state did not make their tournament finals and were ranked anywhere from 6-10 last week. they are also 13 in the pseudo-rpi's. ????

atm was ranked anywhere from 9-13 last week, did not make their tourney finals, and is currently 14 in rpi. i dont see them being a national seed.

nebraska was anywhere from 7-13 last week, currently 8th in rpi. did not make the finals of the little dozen tourney. ????

rice was 0-2 in their tourney and 5 across the board last week. they could just barely drop out of the top 8. their going 0-2 sure helps our case. still possible tho given how high they started before their tourney.

ga was ranked anywhere from 6-12 last week and is currently 17 in rpi. going 0-2 i dont see them being a national seed.

call st fullerton. ranked anywhere from 6-11 last week, currently 9th in rpi. did not have a conf championship game. lost their series this weekend and the last game of the series they lost to long beach state 12-3. they are their conference co-champions, but dropping 2 of 3 this weekend doesnt help them. ???

no need to go into how lsu has been doing.

I've got to call the this team the "mini gorrlias". Hell we've hit almost 80 this year.

I'm not worried about what other team have doing or not doing. When has anyone won 20 straight heading into post season? Has to be a record. We've got a super, you can book it.

since there are 8 national seeds for super hosts (should they win their regionals), i was looking at who all might get a top 8 seed spot. and who might not.

not worried about lsu. hence the "no need to go into how lsu has been doing".

I realize that. There are a number of teams that should be out of consideration for national seed. But you never know how the teams will be selected. Hey the last regional in the box. Gotta get a super too.

    My projections:

    1. Miami
    2. North Carolina
    3. Arizona State
    4. Florida State
    5. Rice
    6. LSU
    7. Cal State Fullerton
    8. Oklahoma State

One will come from the SEC and one from the Big 12. LSU gets in easily over Georgia. Oklahoma State sneaks in past Texas A&M, Nebraska and Missouri. Rice's regular season was too strong to overlook even though they went 2 and out in their tourney (they were a 4-2 loss at UCF away from having a 23 game winning streak heading into said tourney). Cal State Fullerton lost 2 of 3 this weekend, but it was to #25 ranked Long Beach State.

Please reserve your tickets now. Thanks for reading.

you think rice will stay 5 after going 0-2? i thought they might drop a bit, but after thinking about it for a while (after my first post) i dont see them dropping out of the top 8.

but right now it is all still just speculation. that said, i would rather have tulane than uno. tulane is in a batting slump and i think a lot more vulnerable than uno. (that is, IF tulane makes the regionals.)
