  3. The 5 year, show cause for Tressel is very fitting, I just hate that he immediately got a cush job with Indy.
  4. No school would ever do that.
  5. Miami did. Just saying.

  6. Yea especially when you know it is coming or should have known. Why drag it out. Now it will be a topic all next year when it could have died on a vine. They could have just not accepted the invitation when they found out what crappy bowl they got and added it to their self-imposed.
  7. To expand on my earlier point, Miami did it essentially this way. Once they lost any chance of winning the ACC and getting to a BCS bowl, they self-imposed the ban, No point in going to a also-ran bowl. If they had a chance to go to a BCS game, they would have not said anything. Not saying that they are coming clean, just that they saw the handwriting on the wall better than tOSU.

  8. I thought he was the only coach who looked like more of a dweeb than ours. He always struck me as uptight and overly "proper". Figured he was not much fun to be around- especially someone like me that doesn't know which fork is for the salad and feels like I'm going to fall over if my elbows are not on the table.
  9. This is the first time I've heard of the Show Cause penalty, but its a good way to make sure the guy who deserves to get punished doesn't just walk away and leave the school holding the bag. Anyone know of any other coaches who have been slapped down with this penalty?
  10. Maybe Noah Spence needs to rethink his decision.
