I'm not sure how much encouragement Detroit needs. The only two times I've seen them play were against the Hornets and they held CP to an average of 14 points and 10 assists and held the Hornets to an average of 80 points. Any team that can do that has my respect. I haven't checked but they may be the only Eastern team that the hornets couldn't beat at least once.
Thats the problems with Detroit, they get up for great teams like New Orleans and SA, but bad teams, they coast and lose the games they should win.
For those like me who aren't real good at matchups and X's and O's of basketball, this is a pretty good read for the Spurs-Hornets series: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs2008/columns/story?page=ScoutingSpursHornets
Great win by the Hornets tonight. It was pretty similar to the Spurs first round game against the Suns...glad to see the place packed. Sort of sad due to the non-flexible NBA schedule this is really the first time people will be able to see guys like West, where as you are sure to see an underachieving Bulls game twice a week during the season.
