However, not one single fireman left their post or quit during or after K. I know that the small station a few blocks from our house in Lakeview is now operated out of and housed in a FEMA trailer. To add to Okie's point alot of the murder suspects in the month of April are beleived to be drug dealers from other areas trying to set up turf in New Orleans.
They solved that problem by deciding to use an administration building. We need get tough on crime the way Giuliani did up in NYC. Only then can this city start coming back. If Nagin can't keep a foothold on crime, he won't last long in his second term.
I always forget what a peaceful, clean, and safe utopia NOLA was before that pesky little storm. If only it could return to such glory.
