Grant seems like a great choice. The only VCU board I could find, not much: http://www.caazone.com/boards/viewforum.php?f=10
i like scott sutton, who is presently hc at oru. he is young and talented, tho, obviously, not a household name or big name coach. but, i think that the situation is similar to when les miles was brought from oklahoma state. a good coach that is doing things at a school with fewer resources. and that given the right environment for room to grow and given the resources to do so, can be do an even better job.
For what it's worth, VCU would like to hang on to Grant: http://www.inrich.com/cva/ric/sports/colleges.apx.-content-articles-RTD-2008-01-25-0182.html. So far at VCU, he's 45-12 (this is his second year). He won the CAA Tourney last year, and of course there was the big upset of Duke in NCAA's. I've mentioned here before that I attended VCU undgrad (LSU for Master's), and I like both of my school's to be successful... That said, I have mixed feelings as to whether Grant leaves VCU for LSU... He's done a lot in short amount of time to make VCU a mid-major force, and I'd like that to continue. Does Butch Pierre deserve a shot? :geauxtige
you are thinking of his brother, sean sutton, who is hc at oklahoma state. sean took over for eddie. personally, i think scott is the better of the two brothers. he just hasnt had the limelight that sean has from sean being dads asst for so many years.
isl your 3 are a total joke not even worth consering and they wont come. Learn about the canidates before you speak.
