NOTE: As many as three players from The Bridge could be starting on defense next year. Pretty cool ! I played against former Tiger Harland Jean-Baptiste (The Ville) from Junior High on up. He was a fullback, I was a SS. My head is still ringing over 20 years later but he never put me on my back !

For you other Baker Buffalos, I am a little younger than ya'll. I went to school with Hokie's little brother. He 'thought' he was Hokie...he was NOT.

Not many football players from my era you would know. Chris Mooch was a backup QB, but an outstanding baseball player. We played against Ben McDonald in baseball. Dude could bring the heat!!

Craig Cuculu was a good friend of mine. Wasn't Barry his older brother?!?

I have a cousin that played, but I'm not sure if he ever started. He got hurt before his career took off....he is HUGE though... Eric Griffin

 Don't feel bad...I did the same thing.

Roubique sounds familiar. The only Cuculu I remember was Ritchie. Oh, and no Leonard Marshall didn't play at Baker...I should have mentioned that was when I was going to LSU.
I knew Hokies sister, Dawn...seems like I met his little brother at one time. I knew Chris...he and my cousin were friends.

Oh...Joe Johnson was a basketball player...he transfered to Redemptrist our freshman year in HS. His brother stayed at Baker a few years later. And they say the private schools don't recruit.

Played with Eric at SL (his Junior, my Soph. year). No, he never started...had a few too many concussions, if I recall, and did hung them up. He's a smart guy (academically too) and it was unfortunate. I felt bad for him when it first came out that he wasn't going to play anymore.... He was a good guy to be around. How is he these days?

I played against Tasmin Mitchell in a summer league game last year. He basically beat our team by himself. The other players on the DS team seemed to be so scared of Tasmin that they would pass him the ball basically out of fear. I got to guard him with about a minute to go and he could have taken me to the hole so easy but he had the class to not take me to school on that day.

Well, for an easier way of seeing it, my dad and Barry graduated in '78. According to him, Barry's younger brother was Ritchie and possibly Craig. He knows that he has a couple of older brothers - one attended Southern Miss, he believes.

Hokie Gajan graduated in '77. During practice, dad went to stuff and cork a hole and Hokie re-opened it on him. Hahaha... A 48 Ram was the play, he said.
