Well, according to him, they would have been SEC champs in '00 and Nat Champs in '01 if he were on that team. Of course this was coming from a guy who was selling used cars to supplement his income from the NIFL. I mean don't all GREAT QB's play indoor football in Houma LA?

    J. Brian Bergeron is from my hometown . . . went to school with his sisters Bethany and Monica and his brother Herschel. Played summer leage b'ball against Dennis Brown when he was at Woodlawn. I'm proud to say that he hit a game winner with my hand in his face. He could jump out of the gym and always had a smile on his face.

While I was at LSU, I got to know Chris Carrier fairly well and he later moved into my neighborhood.

I coached against Randall Gay when he was in middle school and he was an exceptional athlete even then. Years later, I transferred schools and coached Blue's little brother Terrance when Terrance was in 7th grade.

Played against Tasmin Mitchell when he were about 8 years old. At that time, Tasmin was about 5 foot 6. He was an absolute monster ot all of us and they beat the crap out of us every time we played them.

Dalton Hilliard. I was a defensive end. They ran a sweep my way. I never laid a hand on him. Not even close.

He graduated the year before I got to Baker...so your dad is about my age.

I used to go to the gym armory and play in pick-up games after class. I got run over by Leonard Marshall during a fast break. I stopped short to wait for a rebound and he couldn't get the brakes on in time. I thought I'd been hit by a truck. I had to sit down for about an hour...he did bring me a coke and a smile.:hihi:

Eric Andolsek and Ruffin Rodrigue played on the line along side my brother (who played for Yale). By the time I got to THS, we had pretty much zero college talent on the team.

Oh yeah, and please define "played against". Does that include sitting on my butt collecting splinters watching them play? :) OK, how about sitting on my butt collecting splinters watching the cheerleaders?

My last name is Roubique, if that rings any bells. My dad was a back up linebacker for Baker from freshman to sophomore year, but never got to play due to politics. He quit his senior season and committed fully to ROTC, I believe. The last straw was when the coach wouldn't let him play even in a blow out game. Another guy who never got to play was Barry Cuculu, his best friend, who, when he subbed in for injured players, made big plays - i.e., forced fumbles, INTs, tackles, etc. Makes you wonder that if politics weren't such a thing in high school football then (and now in some cases, I'm sure), how many players could have shined.

    Leonard Marshall played for Baker?
