The election is over and Obama won. Bush and McCain are soon to be has-beens. I find all of these post mortems and continued GOP bashing incredibly boring. I'm moving on.

Don't expect it to stop over the election either.
The truth of the matter is it is just getting started.
Obama and his supporters will blame Bush and the Republicans for anything that goes wrong from the next 8 years.
Obama will get a pass and some who challange him will be called racist.

I heard far more "McSame" and "They've been in charge for 8 years" than any actual criticism of McCain's policies... especially on this board. His stance on Iraq is enough for most people, it seems.

Factor the racial component and you have what we had... an electoral whitewashing.

Comparing the per county results is a bit more staggering.... 74% in favor of McCain.

I don't know if I want the liberal population centers controlling the outcome of all future elections... :po:

Every failure Obama will have will be blamed on the Republicans and Bush. The name "Bush" or the term "the last administration" isn't going anywhere for a while. Just wait...

Well, this is very interesting since you are the one who has many times here tried to blame Bush's failures in the last 8 years on Bill Clinton. What goes around comes around, apparently.

Any fellow that voted 90% for Bush policies by his own admission is offering us little in the way of change. McCain embraced Bush and it cost him big time. 4 more years of that crap would have sunk us.

Counties don't vote. It's one person/one vote in a democracy. Always has been.

How did you feel when the population centers voted for Reagan?

The fact of the matter is, and we have some proof of this, is that large urban population centers can be ignorant of actual issues. For example, did you know Obama's running mate was Sarah Palin?

I wasn't born yet the first time and I was 6 the second time.

With no evidence whatsoever, I feel like the population centers were a lot less liberal in '79.

Evidence? I grew up in nawth Louisiana and I know country folk and am probably related to half of them. Trust me, the ignorance in the backwoods can be profound. If you have numbers that say hicks are smart and cityboys are ignorant, I'd like to see them.

Funny you say that, I have still a six pack of Billy beer and to date it holds a value of 12 dollars. The only reason I continue to keep it is they have the old pull tabs.

    What a sad legacy.
