McCain is a lifelong republican. What in the world is a "true republican"?

pretty obtuse and callous. i can appreciate that someone may not understand why his election has value in itself, but that doesnt mean you have to dump on it.

    no value here, just whining.

the very worst part of being republican. making a nice assumption that people are emotional because they think they are going to get $ and that those people dont value hard work.

i must have missed the exit poll. did the conservative base not vote? did they vote for Barr? did they vote for Obama? im pretty sure he lost because "moderates" voted more for Obama.

the US military is 10x stronger than any other. therefore it is not important. there is no other superpower to worry about at least for a while.

i think you fail to realize that without a strong economy, there will be no military to talk about.

the war in iraq is not that important (although it would be nice to have the trillion $ and 5000 soldiers back), and it aint won yet either.

Did you really just say this...?

You're clearly ignorant to the ways of the world.

Well, he's conservative enough to be republican. The republicans are a very split party right now with traditional conservatives, social conservatives, neo-conservatives, economic conservatives, moderate republicans, and the far right extremists all having large factions.

This power has real limitations in certain areas, some of which have been exposed in Iraq. We have the smallest military since the 1930's.

There are a two potential superpowers who have already decided that whatever is in our best interests is against theirs. It is vital to keep them at odds and not let them ally against us.

He doesn't stand for any of the core Republican values that the platform once stood for.

Stick him with the Democrats cause we don't want him.

We are hearing anecdotes of schoolchildren and employees inciting racial unrest now.. "Who's the slave now B****". I think it's fairly easy to dump on the significance... just imo.

Unless you are one of those who claim that the media has no bias.... :angryfire

There's enough Youtube videos out there to support our assertions.

Moderates were too busy worrying about the fact that Republicans have been in charge for the last 8 years to intelligently compare candidates on their relative merit. "But it's the democrats' turn!!!!"

Moderates cost McCain the election because they did just that. You are grasping at straws.
