You can keep your flying cars and Shelby Mustangs and Ferraris and Vipers and all that useless garbage. Give me a good ol' Chevrolet El Camino any day of the week. You know what they say; your first car is always the one you like the most. Now I want a classic Camino. Like this one.
LSUBUD, you should grab that deal. That car is worth a good bit more than $4000. A few years ago I almost bought a 77 SL450 with 89,000 mile on it for $11,000. I wish I had. Instead I ended up buying a 95 SL320. I love the car and it is the best car I ever drove but now I need to sell it. It has 79,000 miles and I have the removeable hardtop. If I have to sell it I would rather sell it to another Tiger Fan. I am asking $22,500 or best offer. If anybody is interested PM me.
It's hard justifying spending $37,000-43,000 on a Ford. Given that price category, you can get SO much more than a Ford. BUT, it is a FINE car. If they could have managed to price it in the $25,000-28,000 range, the car would have sold like hotcakes!
