The bottom line is: If Mustain and family are upset that he got benched after 8 games, then tough. That is all about competition and performance in this competitive sport. I doubt if any coach would be stupid enough to pull the QB unless they are seeing something they feel is not enhancing the team's chances of success. I suspect there must be major disagreements between the OC and Nutt that precipitated all this.
Mustain is going to talk with Bob Stoops about becoming a Sooner. Who knows where he will land or how many rumors will pop up.
Word is now that there has been a team meeting, the wagons have been circled and they are one big happy family again with no one else expected to leave.
Regardless, this has been a really ugly situation--and it couldn't have helped them in their bowl game.
I suppose it's possible but it ain't gonna fix Stoops' immediate problem. He has no quarterback for 2007 and Mustain, even if he goes to OU, has to sit a year. The Okies have issues..... :cry:
