Skylab from Pat O'Briens is the strongest drink i've ever had.
I'd suggest 1 Hurricane from Pat O's and beignets from Cafe DuMonde.

I accidently went to the Dungeon. SCARY!

Don't stop and chat with guys betting they know where you got your shoes
Don't carry your wallet in your back pocket
If the side street ain't populated with people, stay on the main drag
Speaking of drag, Watch who you're kissin'
    Stay with your group
    Don't pee on the street
    Don't f**k in public
Watch out for the mimes (Does everybody else HATE mimes)

    Do go to Pat O's
    Do Bourbon ST.
Eat, Eat, Eat The food is the best you've ever had.
Do go to the zoo if you have kids, it's awesome
Take a swamp tour with the kids
    Have a great time!

Yes the walk to the Garden District was a hellafied one. We had waited on the trolly forever, and decided to start walking and sooner or later one would come along. I would say a solid hour later we were in front of our hotle to find out that the trolly line was broken. It sucked, the distance didn't bother me as bad as the areas we had to walk through. Luckily I was with 2 other guys, and they both played college ball, and I'm kinda big myslef.

Maybe we could post maps of different parts of the city for the Sooner fans. One thread dedicated to downtown and the Quarter, another to the Garden District, another to Carollton, etc. The locals can point out the good & bad places in each area.

Nobody every "Accidentally" goes to the Dungeon. If you went in and didn't know what you were getting into, that's one thing. But think about it...any place that doesn't open until midnight you would never accidentally go into....Come on bolobolo...

One of, if not THE, most underrated restaurants in one of the greatest restaurant cities in the world is Jacques-Imo's. It's in the Carrollton area of the city, which is located near the bend in the river on the far west side of the city near the Orleans-Jefferson Parish border. I try to hit this place every time I'm in town. You usually have to wait about an hour for a table, and you can't get a reservation with parties under 6 people, but the wait in the packed bar is well worth it. You can also wait at the bar at the Maple Leaf next door, and they'll come get you when your table's ready. I highly, highly recommend it.
