The pralines from Aunt Sally's are the best. The shop is right next door to Cafe Du Monde. Also Cafe Du Monde is my favorite tourist-type thing to do even though I am not a tourist. I love a good cup of Cafe Au Lait.

If you can get down to the other side of the french quarter of Esplanade there is a GREAT little place to eat called Port-of-Call. Best hamburgers ever and you have to have a monsoon. The steak and the pizza is really good too. Its within walking distance from the quarter but its away enough to escape some of the bourbon street madness.

Hand grenades are the $hit!!!! Best drink in NO, hangs down. Everytime Im down in the quarter I down a couple of those to get the evening going.

Proceed with caution, esp. if your lacking in the "drinking experience" dept.
