How are any of these examples of people practicing their religion? All of your examples are people forcing their religion on others, which is wrong. Don't believe in Birth Control? Don't take the pill or let your daughter. Think drinking is a sin? Don't drink. But depriving someone else the ability to do these things because your religion says its wrong is where the problem lies, and anyone who does this should always be penalized. Nobody is keeping these people from practicing their religion.

I just saw the pic before it got taken down. I think it was from another protestors "Flickr" album, and when the person realized it was out in the public they removed it. Lemme see if I can find a cached copy.

    Bingo, here it is:
Would it be disrespectful to the flag to ram that pole up his #&$?

    Pretty nasty pic.

They must have been reassigned to other departments. I don't have a big problem with that. It is a good solution.

Sorry, but it is not against the Catholic religion for a Catholic cashier to ring up birth control pills. Your uncle allowed his religion get in the way of doing his job. He was passing judgment on others. Walgreens was right to fire him.

He believed the pills had an abortitive potential and he felt culpable for any abortions that may have happened. He didn't cast judgement or rebuke anyone. He just would not fill the prescriptions and left them for another pharmacist Of coarse Walgreen's was right to fire him. He was an at will employee. Walgreens didn't need cause to fire him. I was just pointing out that people of other faiths have similar objections.

If the pill acted as an abortifacient, he still was not culpable, although I understand his concern. The people who purchased the pills were the ones who were culpable (assuming the woman took the pill and it resulted in an abortion).
