What was more amazing... Quick change at halftime or the fact that JB actually coached a good game today.
Re: What was more amazing... A husband and wife magic act. The wife changed dresses in the snap of a finger under a veil, behind a curtain, under a bucket of glitter, etc etc... It is mind-boggling.. Does this ten or fifteen times in the ten minute act. Even changes hair color.
The one that got me was when she changed in that hoop where you could actually see the clothing change. I was like
Re: What was more amazing... You mean there is something special about that? I thought all wives did that.
Re: What was more amazing... You guys change the tune of the collective mindsets here quicker than she changed outfits... Bottom line is that most pundits are saying that with only 3 teams ranked in the Top 25, and in a down year overall, the SEC could get-perhaps, at best-5 spots in the NCAA Tournament... If you think that LSU is one of the top 5 teams in the conference, I just don't share that view... Let me say this again...LSU will lose its legs...They'll lose their composure...and their coach has been remarkably non-demonstrative on the sidelines recently, compared to his histrionics and idiotic behavior of the past... He's on notice, and the Houston situation may have-hopefully, in my mind-sealed his fate. But, in the end, Monsieur Brady's position in Baton Rouge is untenable...He's playing out the string...and his team is playing for heart and each other...Let's hope we keep Pierre and can get Tasmin, and hopefully get Brandon to stay one more year...We might make a tourney run in the '05-'06 season... I told you all that this team had win streaks left in it, and big wins at that...But, let me reassure you...This team will-in good John Brady consistent inconsistent fashion-play to the typical Brady form down the stretch...Tooth and nail to reach a low rung on the NCAA or NIT ladder... Enjoy it, Brady Lovers, it seems there are some Annie Oakley Wild West showmen on the site tonight, jumping from one bandwagon to the other...But trust me, I'm not sparing the whip or pulling back on the bit...Don't get burned everyone...He's not the answer, and he will give you this inconsistency throughout the rest of the season... He might put together a few more "W's", but he's got some more losing streaks and maddening decisions and no gas left in the tank flameouts yet in him...Watch and learn...
Re: What was more amazing... Knew we could count on a "Brady Still Sucks" thread after this game from TE. Sure you might not like Brady but you must be happy about this game. The players played tough defense all day and came up with clutch baskets in the end. Where is the prasise for the players?? If you are going to claim to be a basketball fans, as much time must be spent praising the players for the game today as spent dogging the coach. Granted, Brady could still not be the answer and this is fool's gold but at least give some props out to the players. Come on TE, you're better than that.
Re: What was more amazing... MikeD, I am better than that...I'm better than the position you paint me into in the hopes of marginalizing my overall thoughts and opinions... Someone hit on it in an earlier thread...I look at the big picture...I try to piece together an overall view of a situation, and with each piece, or game, in this instance, I begin to get a clearer and more defined view of that overall picture. The overall picture is that Brady sucks. He has for some time now not shown the ability necessary to pull a team up from the 7th level of Hell in which LSU has roasted in for the better part of an entire decade now. I have heard continual excuses for this man. They usually come from the same people over and over again. You know those people. You know what they excuse. People who ignore the fact that his staff said upon arrival that in year 4 they could contend for national titles-KNOWING THEY WERE UNDER PROBATION and LIMITATIONS. People who ignore all the swings and misses this man has made in recruiting. People who ignore the absolute despicable characters Brady has brought into the program in the vain attempt and winning. People who ignore what those players have done for me to call them despicable. People who ignored when Brady ignored their behavior. People who ignore recruits and their families-one of which offered to inform fans point blank via first person information what top flight Louisiana recruits think of Brady. People who ignore the behavior exemplified time and again by this man. People who ignore the mistakes...on and off the court. People who ignore the blame game he continually employs. Most of all, you know the people who excuse the tradition of losing and underachieving... People who excuse a losing legacy are not the friends of LSU Athletics. They do not want what is best for LSU. My opinion is that they're so fearful of being wrong about something, that they'll hold on until they have no other choice but to admit that not only were they wrong, they were damn fools for holding on as long as they did. I feel sorry for the players, who were brought in by this man, and then had to watch while they rot away, wasting an opportunity to play under a bright, innovative mind whose proven himself on the highest levels in his sport. I feel sorry for the fans...Who once turned out in droves and descended upon Baton Rouge en masse to take in the Tiger's Hoops games... I do not excuse losing. I do not excuse those who have a ready excuse for troubles that ultimately reside with their own choices. I've never backed away from my mistakes...I've always tried to admit, own up to them, and learn while moving on from them. I have no respect for John Brady. As a Basketball Coach, or as a professional. Accountability leads to respect. He has never displayed a penchant for the former, so I cannot issue him the latter.
