Well, neither has Limbaugh! Oprah is not a news show. Like Rush, it's a show about what SHE thinks and what SHE likes.

True, but she has set herself up as a champion of women and had neither Hillary not Palin on. The public outcry from women is indicative of that. Rush is only a champion of himself. Compared to Oprah, he has as much influence as I do.

I think you underestimate Limbaugh's influence on the right wing, but yes, it pales to what Oprah has among women.

I did not mention her show as being news. I apologize if I implied otherwise. The point is the media and their take. The media exist on ratings and sponsor partnership which is the bottom line for any show. If your decision is to take a position then you affect the potential for both. Difference for Oprah is she can afford that decision which does not make her any less a grubbling bitch!

I wont sit here and defend Oprah, she has a track record of this on other issues as well. She plays the game all to well and plays it often.

Mathews and Olberman's coverage of the conventions where a complete joke. They should just call themselves cheerleaders. I love channel surfing during these big political events and their so called coverage was nothing more than a wank fest.

Oprah has lost a lot of ratings points since she became so involved in the political process. She still has considerable influence but she has lost her number 1 overall rating and in many markets she isn't even number 2 anymore.

Thaaaaats it! When you have Nazi's like Tom Cruise running around spewing scientology and humping the furniture, you are bound to lose a cool point or two. It's Springer without the barflies rippin over dead beat dads.

Observe, the proper way to protest what really isn't there! If you are gonna hate, then hate equally!
