Still nothing about the American Revolution? I like the Spicoli thing that was nice, but at least i showed up history class when they taught us about the American Revolution. The French saved our asses, i do however like the old jokes you keep throwing in, my favorite is the "for sale, one french rifle, never been shot, dropped once." i was hoping you would say that one, but i will live.

So it's ok for someone else to fly their flag, it just pisses you off. Do you have a swastika flying next to your american flag or something? what is the first thing that comes to mind when you see an american flag? freedom maybe? lots of people dying so you had the right to make your own choices, and decisions, instead of a king making them for you? Freedom of expression, freedom of speech, freedom religion, all those things ring a bell, or did you miss that day in class too?

And what do you have against other languages? Scared of being educated are we? Everytime i run into someone that is bilingual the first thing they say to me, is damn, knowing this other language sure has hindered me in life. See this is how i can tell you are a member of the Grand Old Partisans because you are more concerned about telling other people what they should be doing instead of minding your own damn business.

So insert stoner joke here, and go to your fridge and grab and ice cold budweiser in a can, and sit back and have a taste of freedom, it will be ok dude i promise.

Why is this so blurry for you. It doesn't piss me off at all. UNLESS you want to fly it at a school, office building, court house, ect. That are in and run by AMERICA.

Good grief if you want to fly a nazi, mexican, in your case Jamaican flag at your own home go right ahead. I probably won't even notice it.

I also have nothing against learning other languages. I'm almost fluent in farsi due to oh never mind. What I have a problem with is someone living here, working in a public capacity here, and not being able to communicate because THEY don't speak english.

Why am I arguing with someone who thinks heroin should be legal.

    oh and:

What do you call a frenchman killed defending his country? .....

    Don't know, its never happened.:hihi:

Saved our asses? Hardly, so they helped. They were coming off a fresh ass whipping of their own and had no choice. You are right though, it will be okay. Starting in the fall of next year when congress gets a much needed enema.

i don't know why are you?

all i said from the get was isn't it their right to fly their own flag and speak their own language. which is when you went on your rant about government buildings and what not, i never said anything about other flags flying on government buildings, i was talking about an individuals right to fly
whatever flag they want to on their own personal property or territory.

now if you will excuse me mon, me gotsta get irie.

yes, if not for french money, troops, and support, the revolution would have been lost, france bankrupted their own country, which lead to french revolution and the demise of France as a world power to help the continentals. you didn't learn this in school?

Flying a foreign flag rather than an American flag on a regular basis to make some kind of foreign political statement makes no sense to me. It is disrespectful to the nation that provides us the freedom to do so.

But Freedom of Speech needs to be honored as well. If Greek-Americans are having a rally to promote Greek olive oil in the Greek community, flying a Greek flag for that rally is no big deal. If British descendants want to fly the Union Jack on Guy Fawkes day, it's no big deal.

There are other times that flying another flag is no big deal. I have a bunch of flags. I usually fly the US flag and certainly do on patriotic holidays. But I fly an LSU flag during football season, a Confederate flag on Confederate Memorial Day, and an Irish flag on St. Patricks Day. The St. Patrick's Day parade goes through my neighborhood and it's a huge party day. If Cinco de Mayo were big in my neighborhood, I'd fly a Mexican flag for the party. I own a French Tricolor, too, but I'm damned if I've ever had a reason to fly it. But it is an historical Louisiana colonial flag and there might be a day for it. None of these things are anti-American political statements and anyone who takes them as such is too . . . damn . . . sensitive.

On a road trip out west, I noticed that many roadside Indian jewelry stands often were flying Canadian, German, and Japanese flags. I asked them about it and was told that their business with foreign tourists had doubled. The foreign flags make the visitors feel welcome in a strange land and they stop and spend money here. How more free-Speech, free-market, and pro-American can that be?
