Officially, no starters have been announced for the Oregon game.

Condon reported at about quarter to six that lee is the starter. Inside scoop I guess but he did report that it was going to be reported by wafb9

It was on the 6 pm news. Didn't name a source for the info though.

    Correct.

That's why I didn't definitively say that Lee would be starting.

It was said that mett wasn't trying as hard in practice as coaches thought he should. I think he was disapointed he was stuck behind two seniors. I bet he has picked up his play now knowing that jj may be out and he is just one hard hit away from starting. Injuries happen all the time and if lee is hurt , mett will have to carry this team.

    "It was said..."

Gossip is why we all come here to these boards, but before spreading any negative gossip, I would really be sure it was true.

About three weeks ago, "it was said" BY CLM to Mett's mom in a phone conversation that he has never been in better physical condition nor has he ever worked so hard as he is right now.

I can tell you also that he is NOT disappointed to be behind the two senior quarterbacks; he's just damned grateful to have the opportunity to play for LSU.

I, for one, hope the only time he sees on the field this year is mop up duty. If he gets the call, I guarantee you he'll be ready.

I hope he sees a ton of playing time. It's our only hope to win a national championship.

I had to watch the spring game on one tiny set up in a corner in a bar here in Athens, but I thought Jarrett looked really good from what I could see. How much would you have bet that John Parker Wilson wouldn't win a natty?

If he'll protect the football I think he'll do alright. He's got a lot of people around him to do the heroic stuff if he just looks after the ball.

I would have bet $1million that he wouldn't, and I would have won that bet. . .
