Well again guys, I know everyone says its being negative but do you really think we have had a stellar offense and QB play over the last several years.
I would argue had we just average QB play we would have won 13 games last year... Or had games we almost lost against UT.....
Of those 11 wins how many were a LOT closer or we needed a break to win because of poor QB play and terrible offensive play calling ? Remember games like Troy State ?, Tennessee, others ? I would suggest some digging through some former game threads, which were VERY entertaining.
I am eagerly awaiting the "Fire Les Miles" crowd to return. Which I have never been one

I am not trying to wish ill on Jefferson I would love to be proven wrong, but I have yet to see any indication things will be ANY different. Just the same rhetoric of the last two years "Looks great, awesome practices, more confident" etc etc. This is EXACTLY the same story as last year, all we hear is how great his spring was then boom - horrible Spring game. Until I see a game where he throws accurate balls throws over 200 yards (WOW 200 THAT IS DEMANDING) and we are not dead last in TD's through the air. Wait sorry we were not dead last Army was behind us....

The worst part about this for me is that we may never get to see if JJ improved as much other claimed he did. The anticipation was fricking killing me. I know that a lot of you took the jilted lover approach and just convinced yourself that he would never improve over his past performances, but I still thought there was hope. Now we may never know. . .

In all seriousness, you are right. As much as I hope that JJ is going to break out of his funk and continue his good play, he never does, him ending the season the way he did against A&M is like me hitting a 280+ yard drive on the 18th and par the hole, even though I shot over a 100 for the day....it was just enough to encourage me come back out and play another round.

Lee has shown some signs of hope as well, (The Florida Game Last Year) although he has shown less than JJ and I am sure that is due to less PT. But the memories of Alabama - ALL 3 Years, the LA Tech game in 2009, plus other games, and all of 2008 still haunt the hell out of me, and I do say "oh no...." when he drops back(sometimes)

You are right, that part of being a fan isn’t much fun, but it will never change my commitment to this team and its players(not saying that it changes yours)

One thing I know is certain in each one of us, regardless of how angry we are with players, coaches, fans, announcers, we still watch our Tigah's every weekend!

This year, if we want to achieve greatness, we need to do that with our defense, running game, and our wr's ability to produce YAC

Basically a lot like last year, i know its easier said than done.

But I am not giving up, that Mett will shine through, and either with the Majority of snaps, Lee will improve, or JJ will be cleared and he will improve, even though history says otherwise.

If either of them can just a spitting image of Matt Flynn for 14 games........

It's amazing how hope springs eternal for a QB who has proven nothing at this level yet. By the end of the season Rivers will be our only hope.

I think you misunderstood my post. I actually agree with you. We had a great deal of success despite our poor QB play. We will not win a national championship with that level of QB play. You also can't count on winning 11 games again either. SabanFan knows this, but he posts his standard 11 win post to get a rise out of people. I knew this, but couldn't help myself and responded anyway.

    Perfectly stated.

The problem is people are hanging on to that 10 win regular season and ignoring the obvious, which was embarrassing QB play. Not bad play, but embarrassing play. It's the old winning solves all ills adage in play here. And thus the misguided hope that all will be well at QB this season with either JJ or Lee.
