How 'bout the HR Brandon Larsen hit in the CWS in 1997. Has that thing even come down yet? I realize that's more of a moment then a streak, but that's one that stands out to me.
That homerun along with Lyle Mouton's homerun in 1991 in the CWS, and Matt Clark's homerun on Saturday are among the most impressive I have seen in the college game.
i dont know enough about track to say, but basketball championships were much easier to win back then than now. besides the wooden cheating, there were relatively few top programs with a shot and you had to win fewer games.
Don't know if it is the best , 81 basketball team lost its first game ,then ran off 26 wins in a row before losing the last game of the regular season to a Kentucky buzzer beater. I am still waiting for the most impressive win streak in football.20 in a row should come around 4th week of 2010
