It may have been spelled that way. He was this stud from Miami that was going to take LSU to new places. Oh, he did that alright. He played only for the 1988 season. Get Ben McDonald or Pete Bush to talk about him, he was a jewel.
The spelling made it click. I think I do remember him. Lefty first baseman. Never knew anything about him. We didn't have TigerForums then. :hihi:
JC Holt did the same thing to ULL in Regionals (flipping off the away dugout), the day we took two in a row to go to Supers... he got kicked out and couldnt play the second game... but Kaplan was definitely a prick.
He didn't flip them off, he lost control of his bat and it flew into the dugout. They wanted to fight, but didn't want to get on the field and do it.
I don't think he made a gesture, I think he just stared at them and kind of smiled as he was going from third to home (I also am not sure that it was Holt, but can't think of who it was, maybe heath or raymer or one of those guys). A little later Hill's bat slipped and flew into the dugout and he was kicked out. A little later somebody hit a foul ball into the dugout and the crowd wondered why he wasn't kicked out too. Edited to say: Heath was the guy who stared into the dugout LINK
usl people STILL think Hill, or whoever lost the bat, threw it on purpose. anyone that knows how to play baseball could tell that it was an accident by the way his hands came apart. i'm guessing that the uSl fans were the ones wondering why the batter that hit the foul ball in the dugout wasn't thrown out? I guess they figure LSU baseball can control where their foul balls go too?
I'm having brain problems. Who was the guy from Bama who's dad came to every game and was just as obnoxious as his son. was that heath?? :helmet: +Nick = :crystal: :helmet: -Nick+Les= :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: Les equals MORE!!!!
