i post on multiple SEC boards and i've seen it on just about every board.

 

I definitely know what you mean. As I'm sure you know, LSU fans do not have the greatest reputation in the world, so we're often on the receiving end of the very thing for which you speak.

 

What would you say is the best way to change such a reputation? Is it something that can't be over come because people are more likely to believe a wild drunk story? Or is it just part of the SEC?

Honestly, I don't think it can be overcome. I mean, I'm always reading about visitors posting on their boards about what a great time they had and how nice they were treated. But it seems like at least one person always runs into a jackass and once that story is posted, the thread is highjacked from people relating their own horror stories from 20 years ago.

I think it's worse when SEC fans collide because of the rivalry and passions involved. For example, I did not read one unflattering thing from the VaTech people on their boards. But of course VaTech is not a bitter conference rival, so there was no hostility from anyone that I saw. I suspect the same could be said for every SEC stadium.

 

If we count them the same way the gumps do ...it is about 7 or8...1908,35,36, 58,61 or 62,03...i think there is another i missed...
I especially like the gumps national championship in 41,where they lost TWICE ,and finished ranked 20 in the ap poll.Some obscure poll somehow ranked them first ...alas another Gump championship.
