At what point do secondary violations have any impact? If LK already has three, how many does he need accumulate before a major infraction? If a coach could get a few of these per year and nothing happens, although unethical, why wouldn't he save a few chances to bend the rules to give him an advantage? Could it be possible that LK has factored this into his master plan?

I don't think it is something he has factored into some larger plan. I think he is just firing up the Vol Nation. As far as the NCAA goes, I think the only downside is that these minor infractions can be a red flag and may cause the NCAA to keep a close eye on the program. There is an outside chance that the parent of some recruit may view the as a negative. Either way, the boy is entertaining.

At any rate, media days in Birmingham with Kiffin, Saban and Urban are going to be interesting.

The average walking around toothless Tennessee hillbilly may be fired up but I can tell you the inner circle is not. I talked with my wife's uncle this evening and they are VERY concerned about Kiffin. The AD had a meeting with Kiffin Friday and told him to basically STFU.

Its one thing to fire up your base, its quite another to embarrass the University by acting like an out of control clown. The higher ups and big boosters consider his outlandish behavior unacceptable. Kiffin got castrated, dont expect much more from his pie hole.

Too bad, I was beginning to really enjoy this... me I like a good melodrama!

Seriously, I don't blame them for being so concerned. The Tennessee program is beginning to become a bad reflection on the whole SEC. Like I said before, It's a long way from the Johnny Majors days. And why did the AD have to reprimand him? Where's daddy? Isn't that a dad's job?

"Hamilton has noticed something else. He has seen the intensity and work ethic of Kiffin and his staff. And he has seen the transference of that intensity and work ethic to UT's players."

Al Davis noticed the same thing in Kiffen didn't he.

He's got to stand behind him but that doesnt mean he will quietly watch a train wreck unfold. If you read between the lines I think this one quote says it all.

Hamilton just told the public his breaking point's been reached. He's carefully choosing his words but its unmistakable what he is saying. Three recruiting violations, albeit secondary ones, are nothing an AD sloughs off. Lying about firing employee's is something the AD will not tolerate. Publicly, and falsely, accusing SEC programs of rules violations is not going to continue. Kiffin has been lectured and he better start following the rules or he may not see his first game as a Tennessee coach.
