Also, that one screen pass for 90+ yards is what makes the stats look so "dominating" to Trev Alberts, apparently. Without that one fluke play there is only a few yards difference.
Nope... 411 total yards for Georgia, 285 for LSU (Difference of 126). Subtract that 93 yard screen pass and you'd have 318 to 285. (I know, I know... those are legitimate yards. And I'm sure if you throw out LSU's longest play it would knock 30 or so yards off their total). But a single play, whether it's a hail mary or a screen pass for a long touchdown, can skew a lot of stats. And they don't mention that one reason LSU didn't have more yards is because they didn't need more yards. Skyler Green gave us consistently good field position, and the missed field goals by Bennett also put us in good field position. So in our scoring drives, we often had less than half the field to go.
Be happy that Trev is talking us down. Last year he talked down Ohio State game after game, so look what he did for the Buckeyes
Actually on Georgia's yardage, remember that the whole first half they started almost every drive at the 50 or inside it and it was the Tiger defense that rose up and stopped them when they had to. Seems like they sacked Greene on the play before one of those missed field goals too, backing them up. That is the trouble with gauging a game by stats, because teams dont play to get stats, they play according to the game situation. When Georgia tied the game and it looked like they had all the momentum, LSU drove down the field and scored, almost too quickly, leaving Georgia with time to operate. But once again the D rose up when they had to, pummelling Greene even when he completed his passes, until Webster picked that guys pocket... game over. At the end of the first half I felt like it was a miracle that Georgia was not up 2 tds considering the field position they had over and over again. Now I know that our Defense is really that good.

All I can say is... statistics are for losers. And Trev A. is a loser. Didn't Mark May say that he thinks LSU will beat Georgia in the SECCG?
At halftime he said LSU would beat Georgia, but 2 hours earlier he said Fact in Fact or Fiction to the statement Georgia will beat LSU in the rematch. Very inconsistant. At least Trev Alberts is consistantly a moron
