I'm not sure you understand the exponential aspect of population growth not to mention the simple materials used to kill people.

It's impossible for the world to have lost billions upon billions of people previously.....the population would have been wiped out....:dis:

The population of the world reached one billion in 1804, two billion in 1927, three billion in 1960, four billion in 1974, five billion in 1987, and six billion in 1999.

If the world had lost a billion people, it could only have happened sometime between 1850 and 1927 at the earliest. That's not even really possible with the weapons available so realistically it would have only been possible after 1950.....I think we would have heard about that one, don't you?

The genocide of the Jews (an ethnoreligious group) played a large part in WWII. Without religion, there is no "God's chosen people" or "Jews".

So, instead of refuting anything I have said you have chosen to rant about my exaggeration on the world's population? Would it have been better for me to say "Non-secular deaths pale in comparison to religious deaths by the millions?" so as to not give you a foothold in avoiding the obvious?

FWIW, the estimated all-time population of the world is right around 100 billion the last I read. Carl Haub was the guy's name I think. Billions in the name of religion is very possible and almost definite. The world's population would not be wiped out with the loss of billions of people over time.

My friend, WWII was not fought because of the Jews. WWII was fought because the two most powerful countries in Europe, Germany and Russia, were screwed over after WWI. The balance of power realities were not reflected by the political situation present in Europe in 1939. Germany and Russia were waiting for the moment to readjust the map of Europe to more accurately reflect their relative positions of power.

If you have any doubts that Germany was the most powerful country in Europe, besides the Soviet Union think about this; Germany lost two world wars in the 20th century, suffered 50 years of division and it is still the most powerful country in Europe to this day.

The Germans fought the West to secure their position before the inevitable showdown with Russia in the East. Hitler did not invade France so he could kill more Jews.

Besides, Hitler didn't hate the Jews because they believed in the God of Abraham. He hated the Jews because he blamed them for bringing America in on the side of the Allies in WWI in exchange for the Balfour declaration.

Your math is just off on this one. I agree many, many people have been killed for "religious" reasons. But more people have been killed for "idealogical" or political reasons, by far. It's not even close.

I NEVER said that WWI was fought because of the Jews. I didn't even insinuate it.

Yet you fall well short of offering any evidence to the contrary. Is this faith or the supernatural that you're basing your argument on?

Don't know if that was a typo or what....

You said WWII was fought because of religious reasons or had this religious element to it.

My point is that the Germans were pissed at the Jews as a race because of their perceived backstabbing during WWI.

    MLUTiger:

What do you mean no evidence? The Soviet Union killed 25-30 million and they were avowed atheists. China killed about 60 million or so and they were also atheists. That tops any casualty list from all the religious wars combined.

I don't know what else you want me to do to demonstrate that fact to you.

Anyway, no big deal....not a lot of people are aware of that. I don't expect you to know everything at all times.

I guess your rant above means that you are denying being a political correct multiculturalist and radical leftwing ideologue. What’s to matter…you can’t prove or demonstrate otherwise? So instead of attempting to demonstrate otherwise or at least attempting to counter any of my arguments, you resort instead by putting on an air of superiority and then by self-righteously lecturing me in a ridiculous effort to bore me to death.

And what tactics are we talking about? All I did was respond to your very abrasive post where you used extremely inflammatory language and a complete lack of civility by pointing out what is very apparent to everyone and anyone who reads your really ridiculous posts, and that is that you are a radical leftwing ideologue who never varies even one iota from the leftwing orthodoxy you have been indoctrinated to follow.

In any event, if you believe that you can successfully challenge any of my arguments or demonstrate that you are not a leftwing ideologue then by all means please do, because that self-righteous act of yours is getting to be more than just a little boring, not only to me but also for everyone else as well.

Also, as for as anyone taking me seriously, you let me worry about that and I will let you do the same if you don’t mind.

Have you ever read some of your own posts?

What a wonderful moral equivalence. Who would have ever known that you would respond by posing another silly and asinine moral equivalence equating Christianity to Islam, and also at the same time that you are calling me a moron and a kook?

In any event, in Islam’s 1400-year history it is responsible for approximately 270 million non-Muslim deaths. Meanwhile, with the single exception of the Crusades, not even one war was ever fought specifically for the spread of Christianity the same way that never ending jihads have been waged and are still being waged today for the spread of Islam, as in Islam there is no separation of mosque and state, as Islam is the state.

As a matter of fact and in stark contrast to Islam, Christianity doesn’t have a comparable body of law such as Sharia, which governs every single aspect of a Muslim’s life, even down to the way that a Muslim must use the bathroom. In Sunni Islam, for instance, there are four major schools of Islamic jurisprudence that together set forth all the laws for all the various sects of Sunni Islam, including what is halal and haram.

In addition, Christianity doesn’t have a comparable institution of Dhimmitude, which defines the extremely harsh and very repressive system of rules governing the way that non-Muslim dhimmis conquered by Islam must be subjugated.

Also, Christianity doesn’t also have a comparable institution of jihad, which governs the system of rules for jihad and Islamic conquest.

Moreover, in stark contrast to Christianity, Islam is a religion of submission where the freedom of conscience and the freedom of speech are strictly forbidden and where blasphemy and apostasy are both punished by execution.

While, on the other hand, in Christianity freedom of conscience and speech are both allowed and anyone can commit blasphemy or change religions without fear of any reprisals. Yet, somehow you are ignorant enough to morally equate the two.

Nonetheless, I challenge you to find even one passage in the New Testament, which is the Christian Bible that even advocates violence.

Hence, it is very obvious that any violence you are attributing to Christianity didn’t have anything whatsoever to do with Christianity. It may have been promulgated by Christians, but it nonetheless wasn’t motivated by the spread of Christianity except again for the Crusades, which was a long delayed self-defensive response to approximately 500 years of jihad conquest in which approximately half of Christendom was conquered by Islam.

Meanwhile, the Koran, Hadith, and Sira are filled with very violent passages commanding Muslims to kill or subjugate non-Muslims that won’t accept Islam.

Furthermore, the new world wasn’t settled for Christianity. Instead, it was settled because it was very profitable to do so.

Were the people that settled the New World primarily Christians? The answer is yes, but nonetheless the spread of Christianity was not the primary motivation for settling the new world and indeed was brought to the new world by the settlers.

Finally, how many terrorist attacks since 9/11 have been perpetrated in the name of Christianity? As of this morning, Muslims have committed 14,954 terrorist attacks since 9/11.

Hence, equating Christianity to Islam is utterly absurd, yet you had to audacity to call me a moron and a kook. Yeah right.
