CFN's mock draft says,"Reggie Williams will be the most likely pick ( talking about the Buffalo Bills ) with Michael Clayton getting some consideration. Not exactly enamored with LSU product Josh Reed, Clayton might be a hard sell to the Bill's brass". I have not read anything bad about Josh Reed, anyone know anything about whats going on with him up there?
Nothing other than that idiot Bledsoe never throws to him! It's infuriating to watch him throw to the other receivers who constantly drop the passes. Reed catches them every time, but he isn't the "go to" guy.
The Bills passing stats for the past 2 years: Translation - They sucked this year. They let Peerless Price go after having a big year and my guess is they expected Reed to have a year like Price had in 02, which didn't happen. 2003 Rec. Yds. Avg. Lng. well being as I'm a saints fan the saints should draft either 1 of the 2 if they are still on the board at the time: 1. DeAngelo Hall CB from Virginia Tech 1b. DJ Williams LB from Miami (FL)
I'd say that the site that you got this from is crap. http://draft.thenflforum.com Me and a couple of guys from another forum started that site. I think our evaluations and projections of Clayton/Lavalais are a lot better. I did the profile on Clayton, a buddy of mine did the Peterman and Lavalais ones.
Lavalias won't be a first rounder because he is a little light for the tackle position in the NFL. If he gains 15 pounds and gets stronger he will be good, which I believe he can. Clayton also needs to put some weightt on, and he will be a better catching version of terrel owens.
clayton needs to be mailing teams a video of his TD catch against ole miss (01)...if that doesnt impress...then i dont know what will.
I heard he was impressing the hell out of the NFL people at the Senior Bowl practices. He could elevate to a first round pick with a monster game.
You nailed it Sourdough. If you can't run disciplined routes off the check down, or if you can't block downfield effectively, then you don't start at WR in the NFL. Josh Reed is my favorite WR/SR that has come out in the past five years - great "possession" reciever. But it's what he does away from the ball that is compelling. Even when he's not in the play, he digs on popping stray LB's & Safeties. Gotta love a WR that can lay the wood downfield - good guy for the "hands team" too on special teams. Clayton is very good. Much luck to him in the draft.
