All of that to try to convince me that kids getting a free education, a chance to make future millions, the red carpet treatment in terms of facilities and academic support, and all the female attention they can possibly stand are "slaves"? But Lucy - it's jus so reedickyoulusssss......
You do of course realize that most college athletes do not even go professional in their sport once they're done. They go professional in the work force with the education that sport paid for. In my opinion, that's payment and it's quite fair.
Sour grapes. I guarantee you wouldn't have said this had the choice been Miss St., S. Carolina, or any other SEC school besides Auburn.
Looks like they are looking into other options as well to go along with Auburn. Mizzou with Henson looks like they are 2nd on the list followed by Bama and Miss St.
Forgot to post this last week. Looks like Auburn is not willing to give Jones a 3 year scholly for only 2 years of play. However, Mizzou is more than willing to do so. Phelon is still on campus finishing out the semester.
nope. i wish him luck and am glad that the transfer is on friendly terms and that he didnt burn any bridges. but id much rather see him at mizzou than auburn.
