Surprised to see him go. But I guess every now and then people get homesick and what not. Still can't shake off the feeling that there's more to it. I remember following his recruiting and his dad said a few words putting Saban in his place, so I got respect for his dad. Good luck to Phelon Jones, except against us of course. EDIT: Oh he's going to Bama now? Hmm, that's not cool
you're right, hail mary my azz. The media and opposing fans made much too much of that. Flynn took too much time to get the play off, but the call was sound. The FG wasn't a gimme and there was still time to kick it, if neccassary.

I had no idea what play he was even referring to. Calling that play a hail mary or even suggesting it was a bad call is moronic. Flynn wittled the clock too much for sure but the play call was good.
Agree completely. The national outcry about that play was ridiculous. It was a great aggressive call that still left the opportunity for a FG if it is incomplete, b/c if it is incomplete the clock stops right there. The clock continued to run after he caught the pass and went out of the endzone, thus people saying it was too risky. If it turns out to be intercepted, well that would have sucked, but I think the play call was a great one that allowed Flynn to throw it in a way that minimized that chance. Great play and great play call IMO all the way around. My favorite call of the season, actually.
