scare? that would just be a nice end of the rotation guy that they can take or leave.

scare would be if geoff blum and aaron boone are your starting/platooning third basemen.

now this is a real scare for nootch:

Well I think Nootch would agree with me that Lowe would not be some trivial addition to the Yankees pitching staff, especially when we start talking post season.

At first they were reporting the Angels would resign him. Now they are saying Boston. Now Tirk showed the article about Boston saying they are out of the running.

    Who knows.

I thought it was Boston or LA all along, but they said Boston offered $160M.

I can't see the Angels topping that.

    But we'll see.

if end of rotation guy means trivial. I wouldnt overpay for a slightly above-average pitcher. lowe is easily replaceable either way.

believe it or not, SI was reporting the sox offered 8yrs/160mill while the nats:)shock:) are offering close to 200 mill.

you and me both know that's career suicide if he goes to Wash, but for $40M more, a lot of people would do it.

    That I will never get.

$160 million vs $200 million really doesn't amount to much in the big scheme of things. Play for a team where you can win a championship. That just tells me you don't care about the game, just the money.

    I guess that's a good point. lol

Worse comes to worse when no one goes to the games 2-3 years from now, they can trade him to the Yankees.
