I don't get the fuss over A.J. Burnett. Lowe seems like the much safer bet. We'll see who overpays...

Also looking forward to see which clubhouse Milton Bradley can ruin next. He did just enough this year to get himself paid. I hope they notice he pretty much took off the last month and half of the season for an assortment of minor illnesses and injuries

Lowe is nails in the playoffs and eats up innings. Never gets hurt.

A.J. Burnett, he uh, well uh, nevermind....

I would love for Lowe to go back to Boston.
Hated that they let him go after the '04 title.

During this past season, was watching a Dodgers game, and they said Lowe and someone else were the only 2 (don't remember who the other guy was) active big leaguers with 10 years on the job to never no go the DL.

Phucking stupid ass Yankees sign Burnett to $16.5 million per year for 5 years, making him the 2nd highest pitcher in baseball behind Sabathia.

    Stupid phucking Yankees.

Guys gonna average 16 starts a year, so you're gonna pay him $1 million per start?

    Sign Lowe instead, you morons.

    Just stupid.

yeah well, let them go for it.
    some people never learn.

However, I do think they'll end up signing Manny as well.
I've gone on record more than once saying he is the greatest rh hitter I have ever seen. He has the physical ability to carry them once the postseason starts.

They need to sign Manny. That will compensate for the .079 BA from A-Rod in the playoffs.

    Par for the course!

Now the yankees are asking for more money for their Jerry Jones stadium.

    Unbelievable!

Padres team owner has retained a selling firm to sell the team. What does not make since is why the fire sale? Dude is in halves with his ex on 90% ownership of the team. She waits calmly on the sidelines for her half! Why not try to escalate the value to get more after halfzies? OR give the team to the city and burn the bitch for nothing...

Look to see Peavy up for auction on eBay coming soon.

Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Braves have agreed to terms with Rafael Furcal on a three-year contract.
According to Rosenthal the deal includes a vesting fourth-year option, but is worth less than the four-year, $40 million deal offered by the A's

SI.com reports that Miguel Tejada is being investigated for possible perjury after telling the US Attorney's Office he had not used steroids or discussed them with teammates.

any possibility of trade is now done.
