1. Agreed. 2. 100 % agree. WTF? 3. He turned it around the last half of the season, showing he is still the man. 4. Yes indeed. Washington Nationals ballpark is very much pitcher friendly. Spend your money more wisely than this. 5. Not sure about this one. He wasn't there in September for Milwaukee this year. Ok, take a snap shot of this post, since you will never see Clair and I agree this damn much.
would you rather an owner shuck out the money for cute little stadium and field a team worse than the Roylas have been, or an owner that fields a contender every year and someone else pays for the building? give me the guy that builds a winner.
oh, so now a guy with an impressive resume' of sh!tty postseason performances is going to save the Yanks from their sh!tty postseason appearances? um OK.
3 post seasons worth of disasters for Sabbathia. I think that is enough of a sample space. At least the Yankees are going to make it to the playoffs. That's all they have guaranteed.
since '01 (rookie season) he has a postseason era of 8 I think i heard. plus he doesnt want to be a yank. he wanted to play on the left coast yet that extra 20 mill got your typical modern day yank. you overpay for someone who doesnt care about their history, someone who sucks in the postseason, and someone who doesnt want to be a yankee. this will go over well. sorry to kill your buzz. if it didnt, it should. :hihi::hihi:
well, im not really sure that is the argument but considering the braves dont spend money anymore....yes, ill have whatever that yank is having please. thank you.
ahhhh, choice 3. an owner that sticks the stadium bill on the taxpayers, and refuses to upgrade the team with those savings. could be worse, just be thankful you're not a Pirates fan
this situation is very much like the gil meche to KC situation when they had to overpay to get him to play in KC being he was the best FA pitcher left on the market. so they did. they yankees are now begging players since they havent sniffed a championship since 2000. same with CC. he wanted to play with the dodgers yet cashman flew down there and upped the ante to an offer he cant refuse. at least cashman is learning. if you're going to overpay, do it with the most talented fellas. not carl pavano or kei igawa. the yanks trio of CC, jeter and arod tops 75 mill. more than 13 teams total payrolls.
