P.S. dam you DirecTv for giving me a free preview of the SuperFan add-on for the EI package. Teased me enough to make me fork over the extra $50 fo it. If they never showed it me, I wouldn't know what I was missing, and wouldn't have ordered it.
for the record, I was doubtful of carmona being able to repeat last year's success but it was no fluke. outside of brandon webb, I think he has the best sinker of anyone. although he's not an ace or a power pitcher, which you need in postseason, cc fits the bill but i think fausto was a very good sign. they'd be stupid to let sabathia go but alas, they arent going to outbid the yanks. be happy having the best player in baseball next year with hanley replacing that 3 error in one game julio lugo. sorry martin, its not reyes and its not close. good call. and long live the curse.
you mean the guy we already had in the farm system? GOD I hope so. Can't complain about losing him since we netted bot Beckett and Lowell from him. Whatever happened to Anibel Sanchez? He was part of that deal too. Tossed a no-no a couple years ago, and I ain't heard nothing since.
he blew out his arm i think early last year and was having problems recovering. also, polanco's 186-game errorless streak was broken due to manny's hustle running the bases. how weird is that. I saw maddux is only 8 games behind clehghmens, thank god. I figured he was much further behind.
the new greg maddux in bannister tops out about 88 and pitched a complete game shutout for the royals. he is now 3-0 with a .86 era. he's a usc grad so he's not perfect.
Was just looking at some team stats for the season. I knew Detroit was off to a horrible start, but HOLY CHIT!!! .235 BA (2nd worst in MLB) .167 win% (worst in MLB) 33 runs scored (lowest in MLB) 134 Total Bases (worst in MLB) 30 RBI (worst in MLB) .335 SLG% (worst in MLB) .657 OPS (worst in MLB) 5.94 ERA (worst in MLB) 1 Quality Start (worst in MLB) 70 Earned Runs given up (worst in MLB) 78 total runs given up (worst in MLB) 62 walks handed out (tied worst in MLB)
