    tough call.

Coco is a noticably better hitter vs. lefties than Jacoby.
J.D. Drew already fills the role of OF that can't hit lefties (plus he's due to strain his pu$$y again real soon).

    Here is the Sexton video.

Not sure why everyone is so upset at him charging the mound. I think it would spice up the game if a guy did it once a game, at an unannounced time, sort of like getting the Daily-Double.

Couldnt find it on youtube, but I did find this worthless homer. Nice Romo jersey.

maybe the padres will want him. They just released Edmonds. I don't think paul mcnulty is the answer.

is Kahlil Greene an error machine that can't hit?
if so, maybe Theo would want to pick him up

Astros now 1 1/2 games from having the best record in all of baseball. 16-6 after a 6-11 start.

    Good grief.

    Side notes:

Shawn Chacon has pitched well with a 3.53 record in 8 starts but has no decisions! (0-0)
Wandy Rodriguez has missed his last 4 starts and is the #2 starter, but that is when the Astros started to take off.
Roy Oswalt has not been the Oswalt of old and has a 5.05 ERA (although he appears to have turned the corner)

Michael Bourn, a key acquisition and projected leadoff hitter and table-setter, is hitting .198
Kaz Matsui missed the first 15 games of the season
Ty Wigginton has missed some 20 games as well this season
Hunter Pence has had a really slow start to the season and only recently has come around.
    JR Towles is batting .152
Given all that, the Astros are 4th in all of baseball in runs scored.

11 of 17 losses have been either by 1 or 2 runs (7 by 1 run), mostly due to early season offensive slump, injuries, and bullpen issues

berkman is carrying the stros much like pujols has done periodically since being with the cards. just one incredible stretch.

he just hit a go-ahead bomb to put the astros ahead of the giants 8-7.

    for the month-

.604 (29 for 48), 7 doubles, 7 homers, OBP near .650, slugging 1.150+ and stole another base today, giving him 7 total.

most hes ever stolen is 9 in a season.

i do not pitch to him unless the bases are loaded but i love dumb managers.

Berkman: 42 games total (he played in 41 of them):

    45 R
    15 HR
    43 RBI
    7 SB
    .391

Would not win the triple crown if the season ended today. Chipper Jones is batting .418.
