    Oh stop it

They didn't want it released because there was no real purpose other than to create this kind of buzz. She was going to get paid very nicely, now, if the NFL Ray Rices his ass she may get squadouche. Nice going

He's going to make money in the NFL regardless of the video. That's the way we do it here in "Merica. She's also suing Pickleman's.

Her attorneys did what attorneys do. They are doing what they feel they need to control the dialogue. They were spot on that the release of the first video would allow public opinion to wrongly judge the situation. There are 2 videos. The combination of those along with witness testimony is what will define the situation.

Don't fret none over Mr. Playa.....he's gonna get his bones. And with any luck, he'll have to fork some over to Mia.

Idk, initially I thought this would keep him at OU for another year to get some distance from it but there is no way he can play another down for them.

With the draft being so far away it's possible enough damage control can be done to get him on a squad. PR nightmare for whomever drafts him though. I don't think it's as cut and dry as you think and it's all because of this video.

So where do you stand on that? You want him to get drafted? Because you can't bitch about a team picking him up, that's the only way she gets paid.

Attorneys doing what is right for their client,,,i can understand. However, their long process of fighting this likely did more harm than good in the long term. Had the video been released like it did with the Deandre Johnson incident or shortly after the incident instead of a year plus, we wouldn't be talking about it and most would forget it ever happened. NFL teams would know about it but wouldn't be fresh and he would have plenty of time frame to show he is on the right path. Releasing it now means he is back to square one in the court of public opinion no matter what he has done to get himself right if he is doing that.

Why can't he? He's already been dealt with both from the school's perspective with the 1-year suspension, and legally since he entered an Alford plea. He's apologized profusely, he was all about the video being released. The usual fanboys have supported him. There is no reason he can't continue to play for Oklahoma. The ONLY thing impeding that IMO, would be a massive appeal by boosters and we both know that ain't happening.

Please. The NFL is a joke. They don't give a shit what these players do if they are good. Murder may be a problem but a little punch to break someone's face isn't going to slow anyone down. Did Jameis have a problem getting a contract? Hell, Lawrence Phillips did the same thing at Nebraska. No problem. Screw up, take responsibility, apologize....you're in!

I hate the NFL so I don't care if he gets drafted. She's also suing the restaurant. Even if Mixon doesn't play, he'll still make money (doesn't matter how much) and if she wins her civil suit, he'll still have to pay something. And that's the point really....his suffering should probably be at least as bad as hers.

He's already proven that he's "on the right path". He is hardly back to square one. He is in full control of public image at the moment. The public loves it's athletic heroes, apologies, and it hates the women they perceive as silly bitches, drunk bitches, sluts and ho's.

But I'll say again....this case is as much about athlete privilege and administrative types looking the other way as it is about Mixon. Stoops is a piece of shit.

No amount of time in terms of distance from the event will stop the media from showing the Mixon video ad nauseum everytime he's brought up as a possible selection during the Draft broadcast. That's a huge nightmare for any team. He'll go in the mid to late rounds at best due to this. Rightfully so.

    Could be

Fact remains that this was done (except for the civil case) funny, there was no thread, no outrage, not a single crusader when it happened 2 years ago. Now everyone is an expert with an opinion.

That is how you know the release of the video was a shit move by the media and a judge that wanted his name in the news. 2 people involved be damned.
