the Saint Louis paper had two interesting points about the game: 3. Mizzou’s Moore faces toughest test The day’s best one-on-one matchup on the field, and perhaps across the entire SEC, pits Missouri receiver J’Mon Moore against LSU cornerback Tre’Davious White, who often lines up on the right side of LSU’s defense; Moore works from the left side of MU’s formations almost exclusively. White, a 6-foot, 197-pound senior, has started 39 games for the Tigers, has logged 143 tackles and five interceptions. He returned a pick for a touchdown against Wisconsin in the season’s first game. He’ll see plenty of Moore, the SEC’s current triple crown leader for receivers. He leads the league in catches (26), yards (434) and touchdowns (six). Drew Lock has targeted Moore a team-high 51 times. 4. LSU’s "Key" to victory starts on the edge No team in the country has protected its quarterback better than Missouri. The Tigers have attempted 170 passes and allowed just one sack — the best pass-to-sack ratio in the country. But LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda figures to unleash his deep and talented collection of pass rushers, led by sophomore Arden Key, an edge player in Aranda’s 3-4 defense. Key leads the nation with 6.5 sacks. It’s a crucial test for left tackle Tyler Howell, who might need some tight end help to keep Lock’s pocket clean as usual.
Anyone know if there will be a live (or delayed) video of the game? Nothing out here in AZ 'cept for FM & LSUSports.com radio broadcasts. (
We had canceled our cable to the basic package for the summer, and I had forgotten I got rid of the sports pack. I clicked on the SEC Network to see what time the game was on, and realized "oh crap". I upgraded the cable package this morning to include SECN.
