There is quite an LSU love fest going on here. It's nice and all, but to say LSU is better than Bama is hard to agree with. Time will tell. MSU vs. Alabama, I am looking forward to mainly because it will be my first real look at the Tide (although I will be jumping back and forth between that and OK/ND). If MSU can keep the game within 14 points, I will be impressed. Vegas thinks otherwise.
The Battle for Highway 82 is always close, regardless of how bad one team is perceived to be. The problem is, even in the close games, Alabama has won most of them. Saban lost to State in '07 though. As I've said, I think in rivalry games like this it's all a matter of turnovers. If Russell starts making bad decisions and throws a pick 6 or two, it's over with. He will have to play the game of his life.
I guess the question to ask all of the serious Tiger fans: Who you rooting for this Saturday? MSU or Bama?
Honestly, any loss Bama takes makes me a happy girl. But I don't really care if they come into Baton Rouge undefeated. I'm used to LSU having to handle up on the business that other teams are unable to do.
Come on' dude ... don't be so condescending. It is a rivalry .. dating back a long way .. though it is lopsided. For MState .. the three rivalries they have are Bama, Kentucky and Ol Miss. The "90 Mile Drive" .. actually predates the Tennesee-Bama rivalry. (1896 vs 1901). I mean .. what's the point of such an attitude. I hope they kick Bama's azz. I'll be laughing my azz off if they do. It'll put an end to the pompus perspective that all Bama fans have adopted of late.
