Any legitimate concern I had about State subsided quickly when I saw how Mullen responded with 10 seconds left and three downs to work with.

He calls an option play which exposes his QB to a hit regardless of if he carries it or not and is a run play meaning the clock will bleed out unless they score.

That was baffling to me. I explained to my girlfriend who just recently has gotten into football that there was 0% chance of a run because that would run the clock out and State could get at least 2 maybe 3 if lucky quick shots at the endzone.

Then they run it and she looks at me like, wtf? I was dumbfounded.

Miles has had his game management problems, no doubt, but that one was pretty incredible to witness. Mullen really made a bad decision.

Mullen must not have watched the Saints game on Thursday.

I think it was also Mullen that had a brain cramp during our game on the goal line late when we escaped with the W (game when Chad Jones had the punt return and goal line deflection).

Moo state looks to have their center and left guard out for the game. That's going to be their weakness to exploit. Because of the backups on their left side, they will run more to the right side where the line is still healthy with starters. We will know that the ball is going to the right side when they need to make tough yards and can plan for it.
We can also blitz the weakened left side to exploit the new left tackle. Their center will be a freshman. We must try and rattle him. If we can rattle the freshman center we may cause some botched snaps.

I read somewhere that State's center will play. Not sure where I read it though.

State is still an sec team. Any sec team can be a hand full at home. I think we beat them but we can still lose this game if we come out flat and turn the ball over. Just think about the Tennessee game last year. We were suppose to kill them. It was suppose to be a cake walk game. Only because the football gods love them some LSU did we pull that win out of our arse.
