Sure, but maybe tougher as MSU's players are heavier.......

We have the defense to stop them. Their short week will hurt them worse than ours, I think.

    I hope so.

State allows 359 yards of offense a game and we put up 336, so I expect our offense will move the ball about as we expect.

The contest will be our defense which allows 215 yards a game versus States offense which averages 588 yards. Something has to give.

I expect our offense to look about like it has the first two weeks. I expect State's offense to average about HALF of what it's been doing. Much like Oregon.

    I will tell the truth

I was for Miss State , did not want them mad are needing to prove anything . Until Auburn gets beat , in my way of thinking they are still The Defending Champions , and should still be ranked as #1 . I do not think the Tigers will be asleep, this is going too be a game . We will know how good our defense is . GEAUX TIGERS !!!

Not to mention one of those "games" was Memphis who lost to Arkansas St 3-47 this weekend. Auburn, well, they just suck. We'll be fine for both of those games. Neither will be close. We'll beat State by 17+.

I guess I will have to break the pattern of thoughts on this topic. I hope we win, I think we will but this will one tough game. I think miss st might be one of the most underrated unrespected teams in our conference. I think if they were in the pac (whatever #) or big (whatever #) they would be in the discussion for at least making it to the conference champ. It just so happens they play with the big boys.

I think they will be pissed and looking for redemption, however I like the short week and the "buy-a-win" we had last night vs a short week and a "slug fest". I think we have more depth + the emotional and physical fatigue that they are dealing with gives us the W. That begin said it is going to be a tough game.

We will play a defensive scheme very similar to the uo game. Playing assignment gap orentated football on defense will check the qb keeper just as it did aginst uo.
This defense is more discplined than the team that allowed cam to run amuck last year.
I think playing nickle defense is the way to go aginst moo state. The nickle worked well aginst the ducks. Pollsters have to be able to see what our defense did aginst uo compared to what the uo offense did aginst an average team this week
