Very premature to say that, but I guess that's your style. It isn't like the rest of the SEC is just sitting on its hands. Mullen has caught lightning in a bottle. Some school is going to pay entirely too much to hire him next year, and he'll hate his life when the expectations aren't met. If he was that great of a coach, there wouldn't be such a disparity between this year and previous years. State & OM are definitely hot right now, but I'm certainly not ready to declare either team perennial contenders. Someone will catch them slipping. Just the way it is in the conference. I fully expect LSU to donkey punch the rebbears in a couple of weeks. For as many times as they've played spoiler for us, it's high time to return the favor. Ode Miss may come in a bit too confident, given last year's result and their performance this year. We owe Bo a good butt-kicking. I think he gets it this year.
Mullen may or may not be worth whatever some school ends up paying him. You have to give him a few mulligans for past performance just because of where he coaches. He has been playing with one and two stars against SEC West foes with 4 and 5 star players. Thats a big reason he has all those seniors now. The only way for most of them to attract the attention of the NFL scouts is to have good senior seasons.
Ole Miss has a really good defense. It's going to be hard to score on them. We need to force turnovers and give our offense chances to play with a short field.
