He seems like a more low key personality than most head coaches. He may not be comfortable with all the peripheral bullshit that goes with the territory of being a college head coach. I see him eventually being a head coach in the NFL. Any you are right about Ole Miss being a bad move. Right now it's a bad move for anybody and it would take a miracle worker to do well enough to enhance or at least not tarnish their resume. Even Miles won't take it unless he is really that desperate to coach again.
One place I saw had their short list as this -- Chip Kelly, Bob Stoops, and Les Miles. Their fans are grossly out of touch with the station of their program without sanctions let alone with them..
Desperation doesn't always mean money. The man wants to redeem himself. Personally I'd be on my boat drunk laughing my ass off with hookers but these coaches are cut from a different cloth.
