I was the kid who, when my parents told me the stove was hot, I had to touch it for myself and burn my finger to see, for sure...........I ain't touching "That" stove again. :hihi:
No disrespect intended...but you two have no reason to speculate about Miles being an "idiot", as you have absolutely no idea as to what the nature of the phone call was. He did not call THEM, THEY called him. No reason for all the "If he does this or that, then he's an idiot" crap. All he did was answer the phone...according to a Michigan journalist at that. Let's just wait and see what happens before we decide how we feel about Miles and this issue. As far as we know, he could've told them to Geaux to Hell.
And he stood there the day he signed his new contract (w/o asking for more cash mind you) going on and on about integrity....I CAN NOT, DO NOT and WILL NOT believe he would allow himself and his family become the subject to such ridicule. And he did say he would do anything he could to help Michigan...perhaps they were calling for a reference or an opinion on someone else......Fellas, Fellas...ya' can't be so negative, its bad for your health!!! He's given us no reason to NOT trust him...soooo...In Les we Trust:milesmic:
I'd a whole lot rather win and say so long to Les. If Miles isn't 100% committed to LSU, and he just got finished saying that he is, then I wish he'd carry his behind back North, today. But if he's a man of his word, then I'm for him, 100%. But the longer Miles doesn't face this stuff and put it to rest, the worse it's going to get.
No Les Miles isn't an idiot but I'm glad I'm not in his shoes. He's has a great college football coaching job, great fans, great school, great money, weather (well, I've grown to like the snow and cold of the North and don't miss La weather of heat and humidity) this is irrelavant. But he has a chance to go to a place where he loves and his heart is and would love to be which is Michigan. He probably sits at his desk flipping the coin whether to stay or go. It's one thing to say I'm going to stay and sign something and then know that your beloved almamater and dream job is vacant. This is a harder desicion than us fans can imagine because sometimes money isn't everything. I hope he stays but it's what makes him happy that matters to Coach Miles. I'm sure Michigan has thrown a counter-offer out there.
Les, An old saying comes to mind that fits the situation you are currently in if we are to believe the media reports that you have not shut the door on the Michigan job. DO SOMETHING OR GET OFF THE POT!!o: Our primary focus should be on gameplanning for the Buckeyes not wondering whether or not you will be the LSU head coach after Jan 7th. I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
