Oh, it gets better. Now you have played the trump card. The mod card! :hihi:

Buddy, I am presenting facts to you. You just don't seem to appreciate it since the facts conflict with your opinions.

I've said enough to you. No need to come down to your level. :thumb:

How is your comment below factual?
Neither you or I know that. I've pointed out the fact about a pretrial diversion program, something everyone seems to gloss over when discussing the counterfeit issue.

    Just the facts!:thumb:

So true. I made the mistake. Some people have an agenda and will stick to it no matter what.

That's how the system works. If you want to avoid a trial because of the time, expense, and attention, you do something like a diversion program. The DA doesn't have egg on his face, and the client doesn't have to bankrupt his family defending himself.
    Si senior.
Right, which is why they have trials -- so the prosecution can try to prove intent. Whether or not folks like to believe it, the system is slanted more towards the prosecution in this regard. It ain't Matlock in EBRP.
There are pragmatic steps that can be taken to make the situation go away. It's like having a gun in your car and you didn't know it was there. Sure, you didn't do anything wrong intentionally, but that doesn't make the cops/D.A. less interested. They'd have a hard time explaining to their superiors why they just let the person go, even if they didn't have the intent. So, they offer a cush deal or go to trial. I don't know many folks that can afford $20K for a trial, so they take a little diversion program. Capiche?

Unfortunately, I know a little about how the pretrial diversion program works and why it exists. As I said in my original posts, this incident was not a big deal by itself. And there is nothing wrong with anyone going through it, if offered.

My only point is to those who continue to say RP had no knowledge he passed a counterfeit bill and is somehow a victim in all of this. There is no evidence to support that claim.

How do we know the bouncers involved are looking for work elsewhere?

What I do not understand is what RP was thinking when refusing to leave the Varsity while being asked to do so. Did he think he had the right or being above everytihing because of his celeb status? It is sad that he has to potential to do good, as evidenced by his work during the summer. His "punkish" behavior however are not serving him well. I do not believe he is the violent type, just immature and not smart enough. All this incident hopefully may = game suspension at most; but I do not think he deserves to be kicked off the team.

I think he just should have left the place when asked. That could have avoided the physical action on his girlfriend by the bouncers, and his subsequent reaction to this.

Well, hopefully you have a much better understanding now.

There is no evidence to prove that he did know either:

It would appear as though you would not be a very good juror if he were to have chosen a trial.

We don't. I figured it would be clear that I was referring to the confirmed reports that several bouncers lost their jobs.
